It's that time of year again, the 24th Annual Draft Horse Classic.

September 23-26, Nevada County Fairgrounds, Grass Valley, CA.

Rosie and her Kookaburra

A year ago, my aunt and uncle from Australia

came to visit the Circle Seven Ranch here, which

was such a treat....had a GREAT time, and they

brought me a small stuffed Kookaburra. This

toy represents the Australian bird, you know,

the one we used to sing about as kids....goes

something like "kookaburra sits in the old

gum tree, blah blah blah blah yada yada ya-ya"

(inside joke between me and my brother when

we can't remember the words to a song....:-)

Anyway, Rosie adopted this Kookaburra as her own

and carries it everywhere she goes......
